Basically the Bobcats don't want to tank and want in the playoffs. They seem like an possible trading partner for the Cs. Bass would upgrade starting PF, Green starting SF and Crawford as 6th man.

If in the playoffs they lose there pick to the bulls but have blazer (if outside top 12) and Piston (if outside top 8)

Would Charlotte be interested in a trade involving Humphries for Gordon?

Would Boston be able to command additional sweetener to make it worthwhile?

Would Humphries plus Crawford for Gordon and a 1st rounder be feasible?

I think a third team would have to come in.

I did a trade with Green/Bass for Gordan/Taylor, but Taylor is out for the season.

I don't think they'd give up MKD, especially since they no longer have a back up SF.

But they could be really good trade partners, we have what they need, and Gordans expiring is what we need.  ;D

Don't think this is "news" persay. The Jefferson signing signaled a playoff push.

1. Jeff Green/Jordan Crawford for MKG/Gordon?

2. Humphries/Crawford for Gordon/pick?

3. Green for Zeller/Gordon/pick(s)?

Most Hornet fans (I love saying that again) ive talked to are against Green for MKG but their front office may not be.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I don't think they'd give up MKG just because of SF depth. But if Hornets fans are against Green for MKG, their silly. Green is better than MKG right now, and can win with him. It would make the Jefferson signing a bad move if they are waiting for MKG to be able help a team contend.

If they could work it out, Green and Bass could really help the Hornets get into the top 4.

I know this is an idea that's been beaten to death and sickening to some, but if they moved Green and Bass for the Pistons pick and a future Hornets pick, I think that would open up room to sign Melo even with Wallace's contract on the books. They'd have a slew of picks and young players to bring in another allstar next to him and Rondo, and have decent pieces left over.

Melo would never go to the Celtics until we get Asik or a good defensive Center, and bring in more shooters.

Said it a bunch before...

Rondo + Wallace + Bass to the Bobcats for

MKG (youth), Biyombo (youth), Walker (youth) + Gordon and Sessions expiring + maybe a pick or two...

Makes sense for both teams.

You free up a ton of long term cap space, bring in some young assets... Bobcats get a star PG to make them competitive.  Charlotte Hornets would have a nice team next year.  Boston would complete their overhaul.

I too think the HornCats are good trade partners . As others above have pointed out, they have invested heavily to be relevant now.

They gave out over $60 mil in contracts last year to AlJeff, Hendersonnand McRoberts.

Lets help them compete now without them having to give up any draft picks. They gotta like that. They just have to swallow Crashs homecoming.

Green/Wallace/Crawford for Gordon/MKG/Jeff Taylor.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ncrl4fe

They get to keep their picks and compete now, and we get a big expiring and our wings of the future as they are both injured.

They're going to make the playoffs whether they like it or not.  The East is just that bad.

Wonder if Cho would go for Bass and Wallace plus Clippers 1st for Gordon and filler

Still a terrible trade for the Celtics.

Seriously? This is a bad trade for the bobcats. Danny ainge would jump on this.

This trade entirely depends on your opinion of MKG, Walker, and Biyombo.

MKG and Gordon

For

Green and Wallace

It opens a 2 1/2 year window for the veteran core of Jefferson and Green to try to do something. For the Celtics? They give up the best player but at least they get a mid level prospect on a rookie contract and Wallace off the books.
