Humphries, Bass, Jordan Crawford and a first for Larry Sanders, Caron Butler and OJ Mayo. Works in the trade machine (We would have to use the trade exception) and gives us a good shooter and a good rim protector. Then if we could get a nice player in the draft with our other pick and get rid of Wallace we'd be set moving forward.

Tommy Heinsohn has forgotten more about basketball than most of us will ever know.

Gregg Popovich was 7 when Tommy Heinsohn was drafted.

I'm sorry, but this trade would never work, and the Bucks GM would laugh hanging up the phone.

Not only would we need to possibly provide Bradley, and throw in 2 firsts. I just don't see the Bucks giving up on Mayo, Sanders, and Butler all in the same sentence without at least getting a lottery pick, and possibly Green in return. I really don't.

No way this trade is even discussed.

But it does open up the topic of trading with the bucks.

They are very interesting trading partner for the Celtics. Their ownership wants to win. They have a lot of redundancy and potential but a terrible team.
They have
3 solid combo guards Knight, Mayo, and Neal
2 back up Point guards Ridnour and Wolters
3 rim protector bigs Sanders, Henson, Udoh
         2 vet wings Butler, Delfino
         2 young wings Antetokunmpo, Middleton
2 wide body centers Pachulia, Raduljica
         1 stretch 4 Iilyasova

In all they have a bunch of role players and a couple upper role players.

Why would the C's add a first to that. I think we should get back their first or at least the right to swap this year (with our ATL/BRK pick) or a future first. Expiring contracts are great if you are a top FA destination which Boston isn't.
