This is how top-heavy the league has been so far this year.

Five teams -- OKC, San Antonio, Portland, Miami, and Indiana -- are on track to win 60+ games.  Four of those five are on track for 65+.  Having that many teams that are so clearly a cut above the vast majority of all the others is not a common occurrence.

Will these teams keep up the pace, or will a couple fall off?  We'll see.

Meanwhile, 4 teams are on track for less than 25 wins.

What a season.

And dare we even look at the win-loss records by conference?  This is indeed an odd season so far.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Wasn't it kinda like this in the 80s?  A couple dominant teams and a lot of mediocre teams?  I know that when Jordan was first starting out, the Bulls made the playoffs a couple times with losing records.
