I will always continue to criticize the officials and the way the NBA handles their officials far more than any other sport until they finally do something about players being able to complain, and work over the officials after every call.  And encouraging the behavior with OBVIOUS make up calls and super star treatment.   Yes, there is some star treatment in other sports, but its not nearly as egregious as it is in the NBA

It's too much conversation between officials players and whether it's intentional or not on the officials part, it influences how they call their games.  In baseball, umpires are allowed to toss you out of the game just for arguing balls and strikes, without warning.  Its happened.

Pittsburgh eliminated from the playoffs on a missed call. Another game where the outcome may have been flipped due to referee error. This is part for the course, as calls will always be missed until we have an effective automated system.

For some reason, NBA fans go crazy over missed calls but football practically gets a free pass. Kinda silly. Calls are blown in every sport at every level. Nothing is worse than ball and strikes in baseball.

Great point about strikes in baseball.  I am a Red Sox fan, but I refused to watch any more of the series after game 3 in St. Lois.  There were about 25 balls outside the computerized strike box that were called strikes for the Cardinals and about 20 strikes that were called balls for the Red Sox in that game ALONE!!  I am banning myself from watching baseball until they begin using technology that has been around for a decade or MORE.  Yes, it was hard NOT watching us win another one.  Go Sox!!!  I did follow the scores:-)))

It is almost 2014, and far past time for the Major Leagues to wake up and smell the stinking coffee!!
