Trade value of our 2016 and 2018 Nets picks?

I've been wondering how much the 2016 and 2018 Nets picks could fetch back in a trade for a pick in the 2014 draft, with what we have learned so far (about the Nets and the draft itself).

Specifically, would anyone trade us a 2014 lottery pick for one of those picks? Would ATL surrender its swap rights on the Nets 2014 pick in exchange for the 2016 pick, for example? Could we package the 2016 and 2018 picks together for a top 5 pick this year? Would we want to do those things even if we could? Etc.

Just curious to hear others' thoughts on this.

I didn't realize you had posted this.  Very similar to what I posted here:  http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=68392.msg1581622#msg1581622

I'd be fine with merging the threads.

I think this 2014 draft is considered to be pretty epic... a once a decade type of thing.  And the immediacy of the picks compared to one from 2016/2018 makes them even more valuable.  I'm not sure Atlanta would give up their shot at a superstar (via Brooklyn) this summer... in order to add a massive question mark 4/6 years from now.

I'd probably give up one of our future picks in order to get Atlanta to relinquish their swap option.  Then we have two chances at a lotto pick ... either via us or Brooklyn.  Granted, that 2016 pick could end up being a superstar, but that's 4 years from now and that draft might suck... and Brooklyn has lots of money and lots of time to turn things around by then.
