they are morons if they think we are a 39 win team with the roster as it is now.

They probably think that Rondo will be back some time in late November/early December, which could drastically change the way this team looks.

Hi, Guys.  Moron here.  I actually projected 42 wins, optimistic, I know but I would not be surprised to see a 39 win season.

That said, I would also like you to know that I enjoy your posts.  (To save you embarrassment, you do not have to admit that your posts are admired by a moron.    )

I hope you don't think that I'm one of the posters who doesn't think we can reach the playoffs.  I've been pretty clear;  I'm a member of the moron club.

Assuming Rondo plays 40-50 games, I think the Celtics will win around 27 games. If Rondo were healthy for a full season, I think we would be looking at a scrappy athletic team capable of winning 35-40 games.

The main problem with their projection, in my opinion, is only that it relies on Rondo contributing (we have no idea when he'll be back and how effective he'll be)and Sullinger coming up big (again, I think he'll have injury problems).

I think if they did a better job adjusting for those two things they'd have us more down around 30 wins, which seems more likely to me.
