I hope he looks good so if we decide to trade him then we get more than value.

His defense would be easy to fix.   He is a reacher and he needs to learn how to move his feet.   He stays in front of his man it would get a lot better.   I don't know if he has
the taste for it but he does have the athletic ability and seems to have a knack for blocking shots.

Lets discount Jeff Greens entire second half of last season, including being our best playoff performer, but you know these 6 games of "awesome" preseason play from Marshon Brooks, yeah we can rely on this sample size. Brooks is definitely our future starting SG. What kind of logic is that, come on guys!

This thread is a no brainer because everyone on the team is better than Jeff Green. Tonight Marshon got double the rebounds in less minutes.

Defense is not easy to fix. Staying in front of a defender is difficult, especially when talking about NBA guards.

As far as the title of this thread goes, on a bad team, Marshon may be "better". But on a good team, Marshon may be useless.

The only way you could think Brooks is "killing it" is if you're watching the stat sheets instead of the games. He's looked horrible, and one game with unconscious shooting doesn't really change that fact.

Green has started slow, but the body of work is there.
Another case of someone looking good at the expense of the success of the team?

He did terrible. And Jeff Green did even worse. They both had bad shooting nights. Jeff went 3-10.  If Jeff would get more rebounds like Marshon there'd be more opportunities for shots

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I knew this thread would pop up after tonight, lol. I definitely saw the horrible body language and selfish play that others have mentioned tonight. Just to clarify, I meant "Marshon > Green so far this preseason". I know it will seem like back tracking, but oh well.

That's one of my biggest beefs with Green he does the minimal in rebounding when he should be grab 6 or 7 nightly. Good players still find ways to stay productive even when their shots aren't falling. What's holding Brooks back is his horrible defense and tunnel vision when he has the ball. I like his aggressiveness he just has to pick his spots better. It might be too late for him to change his stripes though the same way I see it with Green.

Marshon came back to earth but shooters have to keep shooting.
