I would much rather the Nets or Spurs win a championship than the Heat, Knicks, Lakers or the Clippers.

So it is fine for the Nets to be good in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and I think they will be.  They are a very good team.  But in 2015-16 and beyond, we want the wheels to fall of the Nets wagon (and I also think this will happen).

We have their pick in '16 and '18 plus we can swap picks with them in '17.  By the beginning of 2015-16 season, KG and PP should be done or moved on.  Then the next year, Joe Johnson (who will be 35) and Lopez (who will be 28) expire contractually.

If they extend Lopez and hold onto Deron Williams (who will be only 32) they will have a decent start to a team but otherwise, they will be starting over by then.

So in a way, the better they are the next two years, may lead to them being worse for a couple of year after that.

Go Nets!
