Reginald Buckner 6'9 shot blocker from Ole' Miss. The Celtics are quietly talking to him & trying to stop him from going to Italy & to tryout for the team. "He's my 1st cousin & I was ecstatic to hear the news from him & my aunt today so cool!" Hope Everything works out for him & the family back in Memphis.

That's really cool. Best of luck to him.

Just don't take offense if he makes the team and everyone decides to get all "off with his head." ;D

I just want it to start.  Training camp, summer leagues, pro am games, ANYTHING!  I need some basketball.
That's where I'm at too. I've had months to steel myself for how bad I think the C's are going to be, now I just want hoops.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I like this game - good post - TP

Phil Pressey: I want to see if he can replicate in the NBA what he did in summer league, in energy and passing. If so, he could be a real steal.

Marshon Brooks: If he's ready to play defense and can improve his shot selection, he could be a long term solution at the two. Interested to see how much better Rondo can make him as well.

Jeff Green: interested to see if he becomes more or less aggressive as a full time starter.

Olynyk: interested to see him at the four in a small lineup and just in general. I think he will continue to surprise.

Faverani: Just to see if he can play.

Rondo and Sully: I already know these two can play - just want to see them back healthy.

My boy, Rondo.  Brad Steven second

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This will sure be an interesting season. It will really be the first one in a long while where we have no idea what to expect. Olynyk, Rondo, Sullinger, and Crash probably top my list. I think I know what to expect from Green and Avery (improvements from both). I hope our whole roster is a bunch of all-stars, but seeing how that probably isn't the case, I just can't wait to see how these guys play together.

I saw this thread title and immediately thought of Olynyk.  I want to know if he is a legit NBA player and if he can develop into a star. That would make him the steal of the draft. This is the biggest unknown right now.

Yes it will be interesting to see the returning players and the former Nets but I think there won't be huge surprises in any of them.

I'm really excited to see Sully! I loved what we was doing once he got significant minutes and I am expecting great things from him. He will need a big step defensively to help the team now with the Ticket gone and while I don't seem him being our anchor this year, it will be a good development for him aiming towards the future.
