It seems like a smart signing, but makes me wonder why he didn't get drafted at all, especially with the name recognition. Thank you for the insights triboy.

All I can say is it is amazing how 4 summer league games involving mostly scrubs  can have people making career predictions about players. Wish I had a list of all the past summer league stars and where they are now -- hello, Dionte Christmas.

it's not Pressey is going to be our first string PG
he'll probably be 2nd or even 3rd string
and guess what? He'll be playing right against those scrubs he torched in Summer league.

You can also say hello to Gary Neal and Jeremy Lin.  Summer League players may mostly be scrubs, but useful players can be found.

It's no different than making career predictions about a player based on the same number of games in a deep run in the NCAA tournament, playing against teams where 75% of the players may not end up good enough to be scrubs in the NBA.

Most of the scrubs in the summer league will never see a real NBA game.

Pressey is going to be a fine nba backup with a chance to be a starter one of these days. A pure pg that needs to just cut his turnovers by a few clicks. His motor and defense is off the charts. Better man to man defender than Rondo right now.

Eh, the starting squads of the summer league teams all had nba level talent and he was playing against the other teams' starters. I think that is all he meant.

If Rondo isn't ready, I think Pressey will be our starting PG.

Much rather have him run the team than AB.

Think about that for a defensive trio: AB, Lee, Pressey.

Don't care for the negativity but I agree with vinnie that this is still, after all, the summer league.

However, I absolutely disagree with those who say summer league performances mean absolutely zero. You can at least weed out very obvious Euroleague and Chinese Basketball Association talent.

You can also see how some players are going to contribute. I can definitely see Pressey being a less physically gifted but way smarter Nate Robinson. And their weaknesses are also showcased, like Harangody's potential problems on D.

I'm not sure if he's ready to play over AB, though. Even just STAYING on the floor at the NBA level is a tall task, especially at the PG.

Not being completely serious here but I'd like to see Olynyk run the offense at the 4 or the 5. Just for the heck of it. Just to see what it's like. Like a 7 foot Josh Smith.

A less physically gifted but way smarter Nate Robinson who can't shoot, maybe.
