Who would we give up? (Crash, Lee, Shav, Dj White, Bass, Humphries, Crawford, possibly Rondo i truly hope not)

1. Would he gather expiring contracts?
2. Would we get our veteran all-star/superstar piece?
3. Gather more young players to develop?
4. Or gather bums and officially tank the season?

I'm not too sure but i think the first option is more likely. I think we truly will still make a playoff run this year. But i think we gather more expiring contracts in order to be bigger players in next years free agency. I doubt we can pull an all-star this year unless the Raptors were willing too part with Rudy Gay or possibly the Bulls dealing Luol Deng (if healthy). The ONE thing i don't see happening is a full on tanking of the season

I think mostly 1, and 3 if possible. 2 wouldn't make sense because we would have to give up young chips to get that player and he wouldn't put us over the top. 4 would make me angry so Danny won't do it.
DKC:  Rockets

I am hoping option number 2.

And if not this year, then I hope a BIG name is in Ainge's plans for next year.

To purposely tank for next year's draft in my opinion is asinine.

I don't think we should tank either.

I'm hoping that Ainge will just streamline the team.

Rondo heals up, young'ns play up their value and we see their true values, Brad Stevens gets burn.

I think the primary goals right now are clearing cap space, acquiring picks, and compiling players who can be assets two or three years down the line.

Bass and Lee will be available to anybody who can take them off our hands without sending back long term salary.

I agree with Bill Simmons re: Rondo.  If you can get a deal that nets you cap relief (i.e. unloading Wallace or Bass AND Lee) and either a sure-fire top pick OR a blue chip prospect this summer, you do it.  Otherwise, you hold onto him until such a deal becomes available.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I'd like to consolidate some of those players into a young center who has been in the league for 2-3 years but has yet to crack his team's regular rotation.

Someone who was drafted in 2011 and spend much of last season in the D-League but still has potential would be my idea.

It is not a matter of "if" but rather "when".

I posted an idea about trading for Miles Plumlee, but I don't think he will be available.

I'm being realistic.  I don't think anyone is giving away good 2014 draft picks.  I don't think anyone is giving up a good young player who looks like he could be a starter.  I think the Celtics should be trying to find guys who look about as impressive as Danny Green did in Cleveland.

I agree with most, i just dont see DA keeping this current roster together. And your right it just depends on if it happens now or at the trade deadline
