He used to live in his parents basement, and literally do nothing but intern, and pray he could strike gold in a job. Funny thing is he's now working as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics.

Chris Wallace emerged from his parents' basement (literally) to find a career in the NBA. Role model for two entire generations of wishers and dreamers.

Since Stevens can fill out the rest of his staff, but he doesn't yet know the capacity in which Cannon will join them, I take it his first choice would be to put him on the stats department payroll and still have an another slot left for another bench coach.  If that doesn't work out, it sounds like he's prepared to give him a position on his bench.

Definitely an intriguing hire.  These guys are becoming more and more valuable in the NBA.

What I want to know is, will they be bringing in an experienced NBA coach to be the top assistant.

This kid seems to be a prodigy in what he does.
But both Danny and Brad understand you need to combine what your eyes are telling you to what the numbers are showing.
