I'm getting sick and tired of this Doc debacle.  It's becoming a poor man's version of Ray to Miami.

He left us.  So did Ray.

End of story.

Different than the Ray situation.  Doc didn't sign for half the  money, against the Cs biggest rival.  He also didn't do it in a way where his old team didn't get any compensation, like Ray did.  Allen could have gotten more money out of Miami and forced a S and T,  giving the Cs some value out of him, but wanted to weaken the Cs on his way out the door.

You need to check the Doc Clippers timeline and how it relates to the end of season, what trade pieces were taken off the table per Doc's request while still a Celtic and wow...later used in other trades under Doc's guidance.
The SAS leak 3 days after the playoffs??

You have it terribly backwards. Ray left in a manner within is rights in a way that hurt. Doc almost certainly violated league rules playing both sides to the middle and damaging the Celts worse than Ray Allen ever did.

You need to read up on this to understand why Wyc is throwing Doc under the bus hard. Doc makes Ray look good in comparison. If you can't see that you are'nt looking

Pierce was traded in the last year of his max

Pierce was an icon in this team. Ready to retire as a Cs. Can not trade him. Can SAS trade Duncan or LAL Bryant? NO.

Of course they can trade them. If they feel that's what's best for tha team. GM's and Owners are supposed to do what's best for their teams whether tha decisions they make are popular or not. Tha window for tha Celtics were clearly closing with Paul and KG. Injuries hit this team hard and Paul/KG could no longer carry this team. Danny even tried retooling around both KG and Paul and it didn't work. Darko left. Collins got traded. Barbosa, Sully, and Rondo had season ending injuries. JET and Lee couldn't produce at a level we've known and expected them to. It was just a mess of a season and it was time to rebuild.

LA and San Antone didn't and don't have those issues. San Antonio is a very well-maintenance team and LA's issues are management.

Doc was only a coach here.  He didn't have an official role in personnel.  The coach doesn't get to decide if the franchise needs to rebuild or not.

So, who decides for rebuilding than? If coach is only insignificant member of staff, why you need a coach, and a GM? Lets have GM who is gone coach the team. This your argument has no sense. Of course coach is the governor of the team, without consent the ownership cannot drive a sport team.

Either you're really misinformed or you're purposely playing misinformed. Not taking shots at you but I feel nothing will make sense to you unless Paul, KG, and Doc comes back.

Who writes these contracts for Celtics? I mean, if a coach basically forces you to trade/let him go, isn't that (shouldn't it be) some type of breach of contract?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

A man is entitled to leave his job. Everyone bashing Doc for doing what he had every right to do is just being peurile. We should all just thank Doc for 9 years. More than most these days.

The Celtics have excellent lawyers, probably the best in the business but you cannot stop a rogue coach from breaking his contract. What Doc did is a breach of his contract and also a breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing that is implicit in all employment contracts. The problem is the Celtics lose by going after Doc in the eyes of the players and the coaching fraternity. So they accept the fact that the guy can leave and he does not get paid.

This is why I am a fan on a forum, if it were me, I would have no business because I would have went at him so hard! You aren't going to hold me hostage! Every season we have to wait for Doc to say he's coming back... uh, you SIGNED a contract stating you were going to coach for X years, how do you get to say "I'll take a month then let you know if I'll be back, wait for my call!"

I like Doc but if he didn't wanna be here why sign such a long contract especially since you knew what you were signing up for! It's not like he was coaching LeBron and signed long term because he thinks Lebron would be there the length of it, then LeBron leaves right at the start of the contract. He knew a rebuild was coming sooner rather than later!

You better be careful because I made started a thread in May way before all the shenanigans came out and I was attacked by Doc defenders so badly the thread had to be locked. Now it is all clear that my concern was appropriate and the Celtics were being disrespected by Doc. I am sure you have heard the saying discretion is the better part of valor. I am sure the Celtics stopped Doc in his tracks when they sent him that letter in the middle of May. You know when you bring out the suits it is serious business. He managed to do some damage though because I believe that but for him DA would have fleeced the Clippers.
