I get that West is an integral part of the Pacers and all, but that just seems like a lot of money for a nearly 33 year old PF for a team that already has Hibbert on a max deal, Hill signed for 8 million a year, and George approaching his soon to be max contract.  Not to mention Granger's huge dollars this year.

It's only a $2M per year pay raise for West. That's not going to break the bank for the Pacers, especially when they're off the hook for $8M with expiring contracts in Augustin, Hansborough, and Pendergraph they're not bringing back. Granger's an expiring this year and he'll be the guy that makes room for George's hefty pay day.

Furthermore, West's game was never based off athleticism, so he will age very well in comparison to some others at 32 years old. I certainly wouldn't say this was a great deal, but I'd grade it a B.

What's Gerald Wallace being paid, $11 million a year? I would say west is worth $12 million.

His locker room leadership was key to their success. Very important player for the Pacers.

More than fair for West. He is one of the most underrated PF's in the game on court wise and locker room wise.
