Supporting Casts:

Grffin/DAJ/Bledsoe vs Green/AB/Sully/Lee/Bass

To me, that's a wash...

That's not remotely close to a wash.

this is the rub...i'm going out on a limb here by assuming that you mean that the Clippers supporting cast is much better...so...how can people then turn around and say that we are re-building around a core of Green/AB/Sully...you can't have it both ways...they can't be bad in comparison to the Clippers supporting cast and good in a re-build at the same time...it's either one or the other...
No. Those are not the only 2 options.

The Clips supporting cast is better (you failed to list quite a few of them) and Griffin is better than anyone left on our team, probably including Rondo.

I fail to see how your re-building comment is relevant. If the supporting cast was that good, we wouldn't have to worry about rebuilding. We would just compete now.

We are rebuilding around the guys we draft in the next few seasons and probably Rondo.

barnes, billups, bullock, butler, crawford, green, hollins, odom, summer, turiaf, wayne...if there is a core player...i'd like to know which one...

this is where it gets confusing...why is danny calling them the core then if it's rondo and the draft...

Paul > Rondo
Bledsoe > Bradley
Griffin > Green
Jordan < Sully (both good at what they do, both have limitations - I prefer Sully)

You forgot:
Billips (big factor)
Jamal Crawford
Willie Green
C. Butler

All skilled Vets who you can rely on to win down the stretch.  Also add Reggie Bullock and his familiarity with Summers from Georgetown and he has some youth to work with.

Not even close

my subjective take on danny's use of the word "core" implies young players that you are building on...not vets that might you put over the hump

The dollars are the same...

Is it the golf in sunny California...

Or...

Did Doc choose CP3 over Rondo?

The Clippers cast and our cast is in NO WAY a wash. If you were to poll 10 NBA GMs as to which players they wish they would rather have, the Clipper players get picked in a heartbeat 10 out of 10 times.

Blake Griffin alone is more talented than Green, Bradley and Sully.

IMO, Green/Sully/Bradley are being VASTLY overrated.

The three of them are role players.

Blake is a franchise player.

obvisously griffin has great physical talent...is he your #1 guy...that is...your franchise guy...i don't think so...i think he is 1A at best...

I really don't know what Doc was thinking. That Clipper roster is very unappealing to me, especially in terms of what you need to win in the playoffs. That is not a team built to win in the playoffs.

i do think cp3 is better than rondo...though rondo is still top 5...

remember...this is about the supporting cast...

i would put ab = bledsoe...and...this is a little biased ...but...i think the gap between griffin and green is closer than you think...i personally think griffin is a little overrated...so...when you match griffin/daj/bledsoe vs green/ab/sully...i think it's pretty even...plus...i think ab and sully have more upside...daj and bledsoe may have already peaked...

I liked Doc a lot.  But I have to say that I haven't though much about the loss.  He is already situated well into the rear view mirror.

I would say neither team has proven anything yet, so neither is better than the other.  They have this season to show their worth.
