If we are definitely going to tank and have to move Rondo for picks or assets, would you do this?

Yes 100%, works for every team involved. Great for us because we potentially get two picks in the 2014 draft lottery

No, giving up Rondo and Green is too much.

Yes I would, but Charlotte says no because they want a 2014 pick more than Rondo+Green

bit convoluted. Just make a trade directly with the Bobcats.

I think you involve OKC here to get Lamb and because Rondo fits better at OKC than Charlotte. They need a scorer. They don't have anyone good for Rondo to pass to.

Just the fit and need of each team.

I really like your other comments about the rebuilding and blowing it up subject but this one just doesn't make sense and is way too much risk. Giving up on Rondo/Green naaah.

I rather don't play rondo for half a season, let him fully recover and make us bad for the lottery.

Also agree with Yoki

Hey I appreciate that.
I can understand that people think it's giving up too much. I think part of a trade like this ensuring we are bad enough to maximise the 'tank' mission.

I'm just imagining the Charlotte pick turning into 2 of the first 5 guys.
Although above someone pointed out that the Bobcats can't move any first round picks till 2018. (cant miss two first rounds of the drafts in a row).

We'll need to find another team to pry a 2014 pick off if it's possible at all.
Maybe the Suns if they suck badly enough.

While I'm not advocating trading Rondo, people always say Rondo's only a fit on teams with good scorers. Obviously that wouldn't be the case. Players like Bradley, Bass and Wilcox benefit from playing with Rondo as much as anyone else. All you need is a team that would benefit from their players getting better looks at the basket. There are plenty of those out there.
