I'd be fine with bringing back Greg if the money is right; the problem is that at the moment we're kind of overstocked with bigs (not that any of them are great).

If we can dump Bass and / or Humphries on somebody, I say sure, go for it.

Greg has no upside but he's cheap, knows the team, has a good attitude, and can eat up the minutes that aren't being force-fed to our younger guys.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Colton Iverson averaged .7 blocks a game in college, he's more of a rebounder, but he apparently is going to Europe.

Look for the Clippers and Nets to offer him a deal

Iverson will go to Boston on Sunday, then immediately head to Orlando for summer league. Pensack said summer league will give a better indication of Iverson’s fit. He said the absolute worst-case scenario is that Iverson doesn’t make the team and goes overseas for a year before returning.

As of right now hes not going back yet

There is no role here for Stiemsma to fill. Don't bring him back.

There is an overflow of PFs right now and a need for a starting center. Stiemsma isn't good enough to fill that starting center role. Humphries or Sullinger will have to do that (start at center). Then there is Olynyk who will have to play center minutes due to overflow of PFs currently on the roster and Fab Melo who will be the defensive minded third string center. There is no role available for Stiemsma to play.

He is of no utility to this team.

I'm afraid that ship has sailed.  He could have been a local cult hero here and heaven knows we needed an inside defensive player last year, but now he doesn't fit.

It goes to show what I've always said, too often players chase short money instead of investing on building their brand in one spot.

I had a client who was a former Patriots player and was friends with Troy Brown.  We'd always talk about how Troy did it right, building a brand in one spot and becoming associated with one team.  That pays dividends down the road you'd never imagine at the time.

We could really use a defensive center. However, if we're tanking we should probably stay away.
