It's tough being a Celtics fan sometimes. There's so much drama. Everything is being blown out of proportion.

The Doc Rivers situation.
The KG and PP situation.
And now I'm seeing threads that says Rondo wants out too.

We're so used to winning, and the thought of being mediocre for a couple of years is driving everybody insane.

We'll get through this, Celtic Fans.

No need to be dramatic.

I'm one of the few that's in the camp of keeping (the core) KG PP and RR for at least one more year together.

What's 1 year, really.

We'll have

Rondo/Williams
Bradley/Lee/Terry
Pierce/Green
Bass/Sully
KG/Randolph/Wilcox

And we'll have the 16th pick in the draft.

Sure, were not gonna be at the top of the Eastern Conference, but we will still be competitive.
No need to run these Legends (KG and PP) out of town.
They deserve to retire in green.

Then lets rebuild after they retire.

1 more year.

I agree!! One more year of a decent team than a team that wont win 15 games and will be at the bottom for a long time..be another 20 years until a title
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Exactly, I'd rather be 7th 8th seed in the playoffs, than a team that wins 15 games, and stays in the bottom for years.

It's easier to build around a winning team, and a winning culture, than re-building a team like the bobcats.

Like the optimism but unfortunately this group should have been dismantled last year. All danny did was add alot of long term salary in terry, lee, bass, green. Guarentee that Danny kicks himself everyday over that and he's not doing it again. It's tank time babaaaay!!!!!!! Embrace it. Atleast we have the nets to root for while we develop talent and move on in the next chapter of celtics history!

Could care less about the Nets, even with KG and PP. I'll still love the dudes and wish them well. But the Nets ain't no team I'll ever care about. No thanks.
The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

I hate the Nets. Pompous newbies.

I'd rather cheer for LAC.

Speak for yourself, if you love the team as I do, it's not hard at all to be a fan.  I like the name on the front more than the name of the back.   That isn't to say I don't hate seeing the breakup, but I recall the rebuild post Bird Era.   The time has come better to go in and get it started than prolong it more than we already have.

I am speaking for myself. I don't see your point.

And I do love the team. I just hate the drama thats happening.
I don't get why everything have to be OVER THE TOP. Like its the end of the world.

Thats my only issue with the whole situation.

Riiiiight.

So, regardless of the fact that everyone's different, and that the condescending tone of what you just wrote (whether intended or unintended) I'm going to treat this as an actually response-worthy post and ask you the following:

So you don't get attached to franchise players like Pierce at all? You don't feel anything for specific Celtic greats like Bird, Russell, etc? You didn't feel any sadness when Red died?

All you care about is the green color and the name "Boston Celtics"?

Because if you *do* care about people like that (and it's the people that MAKE the franchise, if you ask me) then perhaps you can understand that for some people, seeing every single player on the team (including an all-time great, and the core of a championship winning team, including the coach), all of them, on the trading block... That *does* make for some very anxious weeks.

Just my opinion, of course. I wouldn't want to tell you how to "love your team".

They're older than me and you both, bud:

TP for the educational value of that post :] Love learning new stuff.

I still stand by my earlier "pompous newbies" comment though ;) I'd like to think that this incarnation of that franchise has earned that title.
