Like what I heard about Hardaway, Mitchell, Ledo, Olynyk, Withey.  Surprised by the effusive praise of Larkin.  I guess I wouldn't be unhappy with that pick.

Definitely turned me off the idea of drafting Plumlee.

Can't believe Shabazz had 27 assists all year.  Yikes.  Still, he could be the Sully who slips to us this year.  Think we'd have to grab him if he did.

Especially with a new coach and possibly no KG/Pierce leadership to keep him in line.  Kinda hope he's gone by 16.

I like Larkin too but he makes no sense for us if Rondo's sticking around.  I also think Wolters is going to make some team with a lower pick very happy.  Could be another Spurs steal.

Our pick is right at the point in the draft where a lot of guys with lottery talent who are significant risks will be available.

Knowing Danny, I expect us to end up with somebody like that.  Somebody with great physical gifts and boom or bust potential.

Shabazz, Adetokunbo, Ledo, Larkin, Olynyk, Mitchell, Hardaway . . . somebody like that.

I don't think that's the case where we are selecting at all.

I think we have a solid chance of getting a player at #16 who can be a valuable role player, whether as a starter or a key reserve.

That said, I'd be really surprised if we get a guy at #16 who ends up being an All-Star type player.  Conversely, I wouldn't be shocked if we ended up getting a guy who has lots of talent / physical tools, but ends up being a bust for one reason or another.

There will be some good players in this draft, maybe great ones too.  Good luck finding them though.  That's how I feel.

As drafts get closer, the hype machine on players gets louder and the thing that gets lost is what these scouts are saying.

It was forecast as a bad draft. But more and more people kept saying that there would be a bunch of depth for starter type players.

I think this article throws some cold reality on the hype machine. This will not be a good draft.

BTW, I can confirm that Texas did not want Myk Kabongo back. Not a lot of good things coming out of UT about Kabongo

As good as he is, his attitude is poison. If he's not the man in the play he pouts. The thing with Sully is he'll do anything that is asked of him. Shabazz I have a feeling wont. And he and Rondo WILL clash.

I get you could show case him this year and flip him next, but if there are numerous issues he'll only be worth a 2nd rounder by next season. He could be the next Beasley...

But, if he gets his head on right he could be the next Wade type player.

I'd rather take a shot on Shroader,Hardaway Jr,Glen Rice Jr. We need a guard bad, and depending on trades a center too. Deing would be my choice. No they aren't going to make noise this year, but I feel more comfortable with these guys.

Happy that Ledo interviewed so well that was my biggest concern. I'm a little more weary on the "has had a tough life" aspect after watching the Aaron Hernandez situation, but I just see an above average starter when I watch him play.

I like players who can scout other players and don't just give that generic "I'm the best...lookat my confidence in myself" answer.

I tell you one thing about this draft. There are some people contradicting themselves. Don't tell me it's a weak draft but a rondo clone should be available at about the late lottery. Any draft with a rondo clone in the late lottery is an exceptionally strong draft.

While I don't have an insider account, I believe Chad Ford went on record with his tiers (as he usually does) and had the top tiers of draft talent relatively empty.

So this is the kind of draft where you're going to be able to snag someone who can project to a rondo-type player with the 14th pick, but not a Carmelo/Wade/LeBron/Bosh talent with the top 5. That's what they mean by a weak draft.
