I relised above I answered what I think Ainge will do.

If its me I take #16 Tony Mitchell then trade 2nd for Nate Wolters, Erick Green or Seth Curry

If celtics can get 19 and 33 from the cavs bc they don't have their man, that would be amazing.

Even 29 and 32 from OKC might be something you want to think about, especially if they can add a 2nd for 2014 or 2015

Celtics are just empty depth wise. Even injuries aside.

I'd love to grab one of Withey, Dieng, Giannis and another 2nd rounder like franklin, Siva, Jackson, Mcallum, Jean Charles Ennis if it came down to it

Empty depth wise? When healthy the Cs are a deep team. If same team from last year is brought back the bench is green, bass, terry and lee. That's a really deep bench.

The depth problem is true for our big man rotation. Garnett can only play 20 minutes a game and he's our only center. Wilcox and Shavlik might be able to help but we definitely need another 20 minutes of a legit center.

Otherwise, the team's very deep. Picking up T-Will is a great potential move to solve the lack of playmaking off the bench.

Yeah we need a center and BPA can be murky.  Hoping for Schroeder but if he's gone I'm switching my allegiance from Tony Mitchell to Dieng.

I think our needs are clear:
*center or 6'11"-ish PF (new age center)
*backup PG
*taller shooter wing (at least 6'5")

For the #16 pick, I'd go with a big man:
*Dieng or Mason Plumblee depending on who is available. That or an int'l guy I no nothing about

If we pick up a 2nd rounder somehow, I'd go with:
*Peyton Siva (back up PG)
*Isaiah Canaan (back up PG)
*Whomever slips out of Crabbe, Rice Jr, Hardaway Jr (taller shooter)

Undrafted FA:
*Andre Roberson (just an athletic rebounder guy)

Seems like Whithey is slipping a bit so a second rounder may have decent value this year.

I say we stay with the "draft two kids from the same school technique" and take Dieng in the 1st and Siva in the 2nd.

why?  because that worked so well with JJJ and E'Twaun?  ::)

I mean theres no rule saying it doesnt work. Its not because it worked well or diddnt work well in the past. Theyre just two good players who happened to both go to Louisville.

I like CJ Leslie in round 2.  Jump through the roof athleticism and 6'9.  Doesn't have a 'true position', but if he can board and score near the hoop using his ridiculous ups, I think he could be a successful role player for us.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
My highest ranked second rounder would probably go to Brandon Davies. Solid Measurements at the combine...

"6'10, 242 pounds, 7'1.5 wingspan, 9'0.5 standing reach."

He seems like a potential Paul Millsap type. Non existent character issues brought his stock down when in fact his comeback story shows a strong resiliency.

6'10 makes Davies taller than most that play the banger position. Would Danny Ainge draft BYU?

I'm on board with this. He's flying very under the radar but he has this old school banging game along with decent length. Very consistent inside scorer and rebounder in BYU, which had very decent competition.

I'd trade Bass for Davies in a heartbeat.
