Everybody has thoughts on the end that seems to be coming. The only people that really know what will happen is the people in the room. If the end is now. Danny has to have just Jordan up his sleeve. Everybody is quick to say don't do this trade. Let it happen and see where this team is 3 or 4 years from now. See what the next step is in the game of life. We had a good run wasn't going to last forever nothing ever does.

Pairing an elite dunker with rondo may be the best idea ever..., we havent had a dunking big since shaq, and 39 year old shaq was dunking like he was 29 when rondo was throwing the lobs, imagine what deandre can do.

This!

I remember some one saying on an other tread that Rondo doesn't throw lobs...I think those people erased that season away.

Between Jordan and Green and Rondo's pinpoint passing, and if some how they can pull off Smith, the C's could be Lob City East...

Of course thats only good in the regular season, playoffs it doesn't work out too well, just ask the original Lob City...

exactly, no more jump shot roulette. we have the elite dunker in deandre, and we have the multi-faceted post player in sullinger... we also have the shooter/slasher in green, we just need a sharp shooting 2 and we'd be set.

I like it too. Liked it even more with the prospect of having Bledsoe around. Shooters are easier to acquire than athletic bigs - shouldn't be impossible to round out the roster to avoid being the worst 4th qtr team in league history.

Can a package around Pierce really get it done, though? What would entice ATL to run with this? (I live in GA, so Pierce landing here - if he actually stayed - would be the best of both worlds) :D

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
We need those two picks at least from the Clippers. The picks are huge in terms of future assets. They get franchise changing trades over the edge and also give us the ability to draft upside when we want to gamble.
Ultimately we'll get Jordan and 2 picks but Jordan, Bledsoe and a pick would be ideal.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If they landed Howard, a Pierce/Horford/Howard front court is fairly imposing on paper.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
