I just don't agree at all with this.  Are we to believe that Doc has orchestrated the move of he and KG to the Clips?  I seriously doubt it went down like that...much more likely that Doc was approached by Danny and/or management, and asked if he would go with KG to the Clips.  Danny had already been knocking on LA's door last deadline, and probably hoped that by giving a release to Doc, he could get the assets that he and the team wanted.  If Danny and/or management didn't want Doc to go, they could have simply said no - just like they could to any trade demand.

I agree with this.  Remember, Ainge said that he would have traded away the original big 3 if he was the GM back then.  Ainge saw a unique opportunity to trade away his current big 3 (Doc is now a part of the current big 3 and is likely his most valuable trade asset) and he went for it.  It is my belief that Doc would be very content to come back for another run with KG and Pierce and then even stick around for the rebuild but Danny came up with the plan to move them all and jump start the rebuild.  This is Danny doing his due diligence and Doc agreeing to something that he sees as an acceptable alternative to running it back in 2013.
