Has anyone else notice the change in the last 10-15 years in NBA positions? This article highlights the rise of the stretch 4.

Stretch 4, mentioned above example Robert Horry, Ryan Anderson. The NBA is more than ever about creating space for players to penetrate the stretch big man is a key part of this.
1/2 scoring bench guard, example Terry,Nate Robison. These are guys with PG size but SG skill. Where they used to be cast of as to small in the past now they are embraced as instant offense players.
D and 3 wings, ex Bruce Bowen, Kawi Leonard, Raja Bell. These guys usually are 6'6-6'8 great athletes without well rounded offensive skills (creating off dribble, penetrating ability , etc). The Spurs have been especially effective developing these players. Much like the stretch 4 these plays stay out of the way on offense but are effective hitting open 3s and are stars on the defensive side of the ball.
4/3 Hybrids, Ex Clarence Weatherspoon,Paul Milsap, Draymond Green. These are the sub 6'8 PFs who can guard some but not all SFs. In past years when the NBA was anchored by centers these players struggled to find niches. Now it seems more and more are thriving in more spread out smaller style NBA. A great example of this is the fact that scout are high on Anthony bennett despite being being only 6'7 (in shoes so probably 6'5 1/2).
