Yes, I know that this trade is extremely unrealistic, but if Stephen A. Smith can throw stuff against the wall on national TV, why not throw out this off shoot of his “discussed” deal here?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bt3zbymCeltics gets: Demarcus Cousins, Blake Griffin, Caron Butler, John Salmons
Why? C’s get two stars/potential stars in Cousins and Griffin. Salmons and Butler are filler, but could help out on the bench. Maybe flip one of them and something else to get a SG.
Clippers get: Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger
Why? Clippers add two savvy veterans that could really help C. Paul in the playoffs. Plus, if rumors are true, this might keep CP3 happy. They also add two young players with a good amount of potential in Bradley and Sullinger.
Kings get: DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, Fab Melo, Jordan Crawford
Why? Maybe they’re truly at their rope’s end with Cousins. This leaves them with a group of young athletic players with potential. Heck, maybe the C’s throw in their 1st rounder this year. Also…it’s the flippin’ Kings! When have they ever made a smart trade?
