Shaughnessy is even a worse person than he is a writer.

Anyone ever met the guy? I have a couple of times at a pub across the street from the Garden back when. The man's ego is outrageous and he is as rude, obnoxious and venomous when talking to him in person as he appears on television. He is just not a very nice guy.

Yo, what's up with Peter May?

He's a moron who has traditionally hated on the team, in particular Paul Pierce.  He also lacks knowledge of the CBA.

My favorite Peter May article of all-time was when he proposed that the Celtics trade Pierce and Perk for Jamaal Magloire + George Lynch + #1.  We would have then flipped Magloire for Eric Williams and Lamond Murray.  His reasoning:

They don't even need value for value for Pierce, because, at this point, they can't get it.
