Of course this means the thunder Amnestied perkins contract,
and tony does not resign with the grizzles the c's would look like.

PG:Rondo
SG:Allen
SF:Green
PF:Sully
C:Perkins

with bradley coming off the bench with a sixth man like role, but if the knicks keep that current starting line up we can throw bradley in @ SG in TA in @ SF with Green Playing the PF spot.

I'd love to have Perk and Tony back, but they're nowhere in the same class as Pierce and KG.

If we decide to rebuild by jettisoning two of our top three players, I don't want to see the team bring in a bunch of quality veteran role-players, which will do nothing more than keep us mediocre.

Yeah, that would not be a good idea at all.  You don't bring in guys like KP & TA until after you have your core set.

I might be interested in a S&T for TA involving Bradley, though.  TA is better, but older.  Would depend on how much money TA commands on the open market.

No interest in Perk or TA if KG and Pierce aren't here.

Actually probably no interest in Perk full stop.

Of course I would take them back as role players, it depends on how much they would want in their contract. If they both took say 3 mil a year to play for us then yeah sure. I wouldnt spend the MLE on either however.

Even without Pierce or KG they would be able to play a nice role on the squad. Would they catapult us into contention? No, only if Green, Rondo, and Sully became 2 superstars and one really great third wheel.

Perk and TA would be great to have on the bench but only if we still have KG and PP.

If the Celtics were going to tank if KG and PP leave, rather than bring back Perk if he is available, I'd like to see Ainge troll this board by putting together an even smaller roster with no true center and forcing Doc to play smallball 100% of the time.

Disagree. I think alot of people on this board, for whatever reason, are REALLY, REALLY overvaluing Pierce and KG, EVEN after a horrendous playoff performance (more so Pierce than KG.)

It's as if KG and Pierce are being applauded for their past as opposed to how they're currently playing.

I don't know how good the proposed roster would be, but it would be ALOT tougher and better defensively than our team this year.

I don't think OKC amnesties Perk and I doubt Memphis lets Tony walk.

Otherwise, I'd love to have them back.

A lot better than replacing them with Fab Melo and Terrence Williams. The Celtics seemingly will have to take a step back next year no matter what they do this.offseaason unless they find a cooperative trade partner.
