This is what we should be talking about.  I've gotten to a point that even if we're up by a hundred, I'm still bitting my nails because I know once that second half whistle blows, we are bound to blow all the lead.  It didn't just started happening either, this has been going on for a while during the reg season.  But this is when the games count the most.

We were older last season and depleted and wasn't this bad in third and fourth quarters.  We are younger now so I can't really attribute that to fatigue.

What is going on here?  Is it the absence of Rondo?  I really think it's because we don't have him.  With him, we always make comebacks, without him we lose leads.

What do you think is the reason here?

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

We are technically younger but the players we rely to score, aka our stars, are older. Pierce is asked to handle the ball, run the offense, play sound defense on Melo at times, rebound the ball. KG is asked to anchor the D and bang with the likes of a physical Kenyon Martin. Both are then also relied on for scoring. That's too much burden on a 35 year old and a soon to be 37 year old.
"I'm from the bottom, I understand what it's like to have and to not have. My perception on giving is to put yourself in those people's shoes and go from there. So that's what I did. " - The One and Only KG

Poor depth I blame. Also foul trouble that might be robbing us of our energy. Game 3 was a complete disaster. Game 2 second half was a complete disaster. Game's 1 and 4 we had one disastrous quarter. We are one and one in those games.

Once again, we are deficient in Point Guard play (Rondo not available) and in Rebounding (Sully not available - plus that was a persistent weakness due to lack of athletic bigs outside of KG).

Also I think we are in shooting slump overall and they are not.

I think the Celtics will do a good job and find the consistency needed give them a good chance to break through Wednesday.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
