Such a different team. Rondo is his own team.

Those were good times.  I kind of wish they had just let that be the end of the era, though.  KG should have retired at the end of last season.

I can't blame him for coming back for more, though.  They seemed like they were a few pieces away last season.  I guess this season is a lesson in what happens when you try to hold on to something good for much longer than you ought to.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Eh..epic game and performance but they lost...I'd never put it up there with his great playoff performances in wins

It's more a lesson in how losing your best player can affect your chances of advancing in the playoffs.

I think it's a lesson in both, honestly.

Great series, wish we had enough in the tank to actually beat Miami.

This year isn't over yet. I'm not giving up yet. No.

but but aren't the Celtics a better team without Rondo??? LOL
Watching this video shows how he gets his teammates easy looks at the basket. If you noticed the last three games almost every shot the Celtics take they have to work hard for them. Rondo creates easy baskets and matchup nightmares for other teams.
I miss watching him and can't wait to see him play again!

Do we have to? I'm depressed enough as it is. Even if I wasn't a Celtics fan I'd be disappointed about not being able to watch playoff Rondo.

I remember the refs stealing the series from us and handing it to MIA.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

I didn't think the refs were biased...they were bad, but not biased.
I like Marcus Smart

That year was awesome for me.

Smoked the Atlanta Hawks in a grind-it-out series.

And then there's the Philly 76ers. I thought it was the end of the world when they narrowly beat us in Games 1 and 2. We got kinda lucky in Game 1. But after Game 3, the 76ers started to lose their momentum. Celts could have closed it out in 5 games had they not blown that 21-point lead in Game 4. And then there's Game 7...Pierce fouling out and Rondo making those crazy 3's.

Miami Heat was another intense series. Game 1 looked like we were no match. Game 2 felt really crazy, but sadly we were robbed in that game ): Game 3...went out with my friends to watch the game and dayum. Game 4 reminded me of 2011's Game 4 in the East Semis. Both games were OT, except this time LeBron fouled out and Wade bricked a buzzer beater and we took it. Game 5 was the BEST game of the ENTIRE CELTICS PLAYOFFS we've had that season. Pierce shooting over LeBron for the 3! Game 6, oh dear gawd that was nightmarish. It was also the game where I slowly respected LeBron afterwards. Game 7... :( I was happy to watch the original Big 3 of that era to finish at the final horn.
