Man don't do this to us now, when we miss him most. In games like these 2 in New York ,Rondo is the guy who can speed up and control the tempo of the game. If Rondo was playing we would be 2-0 up now...

I absolutely abhor when people get presumptuous and say that we would be in a different situation based on the absence of a player.

Who are you to say we would be up 2-0 if Rondo was healthy?

Sorta like when people get presumptuous and say a team is better without a person after a few games without considering all the factors.

I'm not saying they would be up 2-0, because NY did what they were suppose to do by protecting home. Game 1, they really needed Rondo because the guards were getting pressured and making terrible TO's off entry passes. I think they would have had a better chance of splitting the series w/ Rondo. Game 1 was theirs, they just had tooo many stupid ass TO's.

Naw, there are a lot of knuckleheads that think we are better without him.   I think the proof is in the pudding, we are not.   Time for them to eat crow.
Because we'd be going to the NBA finals with him right now?
No, but with him, we wouldn't be approaching the possibility of being swept...

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
At the very least, we as Celtics fan know that the future is not bland - Danny Ainge did a good job not making this like the post Bird era. We have young pieces - Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sully. We aren't going to be terrible - possibly contending for a playoff spot next year if we find some decent replacements (given KG and/or Pierce retire).

I think Danny's first goal if the 2 retire is to find a 2-way big man that is effective in the pick n roll and can play solid defense (Gortat like).
I like Marcus Smart
