Rondo is a tough dude and Rose seems to be trying to get in touch with his inner Jay Cutler, so the question should be if Rondo can come back first.
You'll have to enlighten me when Cutler was cleared to play medically and didn't get back on the field.

Because as RG3 showed, playing on a bad knee while being unable to avoid sacks or throw the ball downfield is a great idea!

Exactly. There's no reason for Rose to come back rusty into the playoffs. None.

As someone who does athletic things for a living and has had knee surgery, the mental aspect of it, trusting your knee again, is the hardest part. Why would you want to come back, against your own judgement, just to get bounced in the second round?

It's not like Chicago did anything in this last offseason or during the year to make their team a contender.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Possible, though if Rose is back for next season's training camp I think it's unlikely. I think Rondo will end up missing some of the start of next season.

Do not be so optimistic. Remember Yao Ming
Let's hope neither of them end up like Yao.

Yao had to play for CHINA national team but Rondo needn't lol

Exactly why NBA contracts should prohibit players from playing in meaningless exhibitions.

Other than wanting to win playoff games...

I don't think a rusty Rose is going to be a game-changer. As a fan, I want to see him as DERRICK ROSE, not "derrick rose," you know?

Im a die hard skins fan and I just bought season tickets this year with my pops. No one wants to see RG3 more then me, but that being said I want the Skins to give Robert the Rose treatment. Too much is invested to think short term.

Rose needs to just wait till next year if he still has doubts about where he is at physically.

KG: "Dude.... What is up with yo shorts?!"
