If we are depending on Bass to exploit anyone in the playoffs, we are big trouble.

Why? I'm very curious.

If Amar'e is out, why wouldn't you want Bass to try to exploit a matchup advantage? Particularly when they put Steve Novak on him.

Exploiting a matchup advantage requires an advantage.

So you're telling me the offensively-inclined Brandon Bass doesn't have an advantage over the no-defense Steve Novak? ??? If Brandon Bass can't take Steve Novak off-the-dribble (which he did multiple times during NYKvBOS this season), then I would be pretty perplexed.

Bass can also box out well, and continue his 6.5rpg streak. I think he can get that 28-point game this postseason to lead us to a victory.

I recall reading that Bass's mid-ranger jumper is one of the deadliest in the league. Now that it's becoming consistent again, I'm confident. Wasn't he like 5/6 the other day? He's confident and so am I.

You're right; if Bass gets significant touches against Novak, then I expect him to score.  But if Bass gets significant touches against Novak, then Mike Woodson should be kicked in the nuts.

Mike Woodson shouldn't play Novak much this series.  We don't have any non-scoring forwards that he can hide Novak on.

I hardly see this as a loss for the Knicks. They've been playing fine without him all season

I'm not buying it, anybody think this is Mike Woodson pulling strings on Doc so he's not part of the gameplan?

They won 13 in a row... and 16 of their last 18 without Amare.  I don't think it matters at all.
