I saw that play on Inside Tha NBA. Didn't look good at all. tough loss for Denver. It sucks because it's so close to tha playoffs and that's one of tha few teams I like out West. They've improved since Melo left and George Karl has done a great job with his players. I really liked their chances in tha playoffs.

Torn ACL... worst injury an NBA player could ever face.

(ok, maybe not the worst)

I can't see what's worse. Even when I saw Kevin Ware's injury, I didn't think it was as career threatening/altering as the ACL injuries we've seen to players like Baron Davis, Shumpert, Rose, Barbosa, and Gallinari over the last year.

Once bones heal you should be good to go. Maybe they are weaker but he has a rod in it and it was such a freak play that you simply can't see it happening to the same player and same leg again. But when you alter the integrity and structure of a knee for an elite athlete like a basketball player, all bets are off how said player resumes his abilities.

As far as on-court injuries in the NBA go, it's hard to find an example worse than Maurice Stokes.
