In an interview with The Standard, Rondo said he believes the Celtics will upset the Miami Heat and bring home the Larry O’Brien trophy in the coming season:

“I think because we have a talented group of guys… the additions of Courtney Lee, [Jason] Terry and Jeff Green,” Rondo said. ”We have high expectations every year… I think we got a lot better than last year.”

Rondo also addressed other topics including LA’s new super team (they’re only a juggernaut on paper), and Jeremy Lin who he expects to beat “pretty badly” the next time the Celtics face off against the Rockets. I’d expect nothing less from a player nicknamed Swag.

Jason Terry's confidence is proven to be infectious.  Man, I cannot wait for the season to start.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

Perk's always contained Howard. Eric Manor is Back. And the Thunder are a year more experienced and wiser, and still much quicker, faster, and have more energy than the Lakers.

If we stay healthy and therefore rested throughout the season and if we gel well, I 100%, without question agree with Rondo.

Mainly because of our history with the Lakers, I think the top three teams, in order of toughness for us to get through to win it this year 9again if healthy and we gel) are:

1. Lakers - just because they are the Lakers and we are the Celtics.

2. OKC

3. Miami

Oddly I am not worried whatsoever about Miami if we stay healthy.

I think Bradley and lee will give Wade fits on defense.

I also think Collins, KG, Wilcox, Bass and Sully will beat up Miami inside.

Lastly, I think the combination of Pierce and Green will give LeBron more than he's interested in if we meet in the playoffs.

I agree with the poster about Eric Manor. He is a "crucial piece" to that OKC team mainly becasue he is a real play making, break you down point guard. This creates more easy baskets for OKC's offensive players. He's no Rondo but he would have made a huge difference in the playoffs for them last year. Outside of him they have very limited play making from the point position.

As President of the "Blow It Up Club" I'll have to see more.

I do agree, however, that if we get TO the Finals, Doc will seriously out coach Scott Brooks, Mike Brown or whoever comes out of the West, except maybe Popavich, and we have so much more talent than the Spurs that it won't be a problem.

Love the Off-Season Swag I've read about this team of ours - especially Rondo.

He knows that he'll have to back it up, of course - but I believe he's ready:

Let LA and MIA know that BOS isn't going away for the next couple of yrs, Rondo.
