Point taken, guys. Just thought I'd share.
but the question is why share it?

it's a foolish comment by a hack radio show.

just curious, I can't help but notice the how many new forum topics have you as the creator in the past couple of months.  Are you trying to set the record for most threads created?

I just joined in the past couple of months. If you have a problem with my posts, then consider it your problem, don't read them, and leave me out of it.

My question in response to your question, is why do you care if I share it?

Is the argument that Pesky did more for the community because Auerbach was too busy contributing more to the league, the nation, and the entire sport?
"The worst thing that ever happened in sports was sports radio, and the internet is sports radio on steroids with lower IQs.” -- Brian Burke, former Toronto Maple Leafs senior adviser, at the 2013 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference

There is no argument anymore, I conceded that. I tried to put this thread to rest with a previous post, and a couple of other forum members felt compelled to begin with personal attacks.

I'm not saying there's a problem with the volume of topics, just curiosity on my part.  I do tend to avoid the ones you post but this one just made me go 'really?'.

As for the sharing the Pesky issue, on a Celtics site it would seem like it's either intended to be inflammatory or something that will just get dismissed as foolish.  I'm not saying comparisons in general are either of those things but this one just doesn't carry any reasonable debate.

  • Yup
Maybe (big maybe) Pesky was more beloved by his team's ex-players or fanbase, but definitely not more influential.

Certainly Pesky was a more lovable guy. Red could be a bit prickly.
