the steamer was a rookie and averaged 13:54 minutes a game with doc, and that is with injuries that lowered his playing time.
other rookies...
rondo played 23:30 mpg
big baby played13:35 mpg
tony allen played 16:23
delonte west played 13:00
so obviously doc will play someone he thinks can help, rookie or not. but melo is so raw he will probably wind up like perk, under 5 minutes a game in the nba. but probably a lot of minutes in the D league. which is fine with me.
but honestly, i thought melo was a stiff when the celtics drafted him. but in the summer league he showed he MIGHT be able to be a decent nba center. but he needs a lot of work, which is why they have the D league.
now sullinger i think will play at least 15 minutes a game by the end of the season.
