The ppg averages depend very on injuries, Doc's rotation, and other such things. I am happy to wait and watch as this new team develops and hopefully comes together.

My estimate for 2012/13 wins is 55. This may be a bit low. If everything goes really well, relatively healthy season & good team chemistry, maybe 60 wins.

Tough to predict, because I'm really not sure if Bradley, Terry, Lee or Jeff Green will be starting (Green would start at SF and Pierce at SG in that hypothetical)...

Wild guess:

PG - Rondo 13
SG - Lee - 13
SF - Pierce - 19
PF - Bass - 11
C - KG - 15
6th man - Jeff Green - 10
7th man - Jason Terry - 11
8th man - Avery Bradley - 6
9th man - Wilcox? - 5

Tough to predict really.  Most people here think Bradley will start.  Personally I think the roster doesn't make much sense.  Three shooting guards is a head-scratcher.  We oughta trade for a more capable starting big man.  If we aren't going with Pierce at SG and Green at his natural SF, Lee just makes the most sense to me in the starting lineup.  He's a better fit for what Boston has already been doing... good shooter who spreads the floor and will probably give you solid defense.  I wouldn't be shocked to see Lee average career highs starting next to Rondo.  Bradley and Terry seem a little redundant to me... both tiny tweener guards best served off the bench.

I don't see it as a problem.

Terry gets all or most of the back up PG minutes (I would love to see Doc limit Rondo's minutes to the low to mid 30s, as opposed to high 30s for the regular season).

Bradley starts at the two.  Terry and Lee split the back up minutes there.

Green splits his minutes between being a 3 and a 4.  Lee gets 5 to 10 minutes a game at small forward.

Wilcox eats up a few minutes a game at power forward behind Bass and gets the rest as the back up center.

If everyone is healthy, I see a really strong 9 man rotation where everyone gets plenty of minutes and plenty of chances to be put in good positions to contribute.  And, I think who finishes games along with Rondo, Pierce, and Garnett will be subject to change throughout the season depending on match ups and who Doc trusts at the moment.

If Bradley doesn't start out of the gate (still recovering from injury), I could see Lee winning the starting spot.  He seems to fit with what Ray was doing here.

If Avery's not ready to go for the start of the season, I see Lee as the starting two guard.  I don't like the idea of starting Terry and Rondo together.  Defensively, I think it could be problematic.  Also, I think Terry is more valuable off the bench as a back up point guard who can also fill in some at the two guard.

However, when Avery returns, I see him winning the starting role, not necessarily because he is better than Lee, but because Lee makes more sense off the bench due to his ability to play some three.

Basically, Terry's the combo guard,  Lee is the combo wing,  Green is the combo forward, and Wilcox is the combo big.  I like the idea of those four guys coming off the bench, filling multiple roles.

Agreed on all accounts.

although, I could see Bradley/Lee sharing the starting 2 guard spot depending on matchups..

obviously playing the Nets or Pacers you dont want 6 2' bradley going up against Joe Johnson/paul george...which is where larger Lee can come into play
