This year the roster is pretty much set, with (hopefully) a BAE big being signed.

Rondo / Terry
Bradley / Lee / Christmas
Pierce / Green / Joseph
Bass / Wilcox / Sullinger
KG / BAE / Hollins / Melo

But what about the future?  For the first time in the "KG era", we have some trade assets that can be moved for a big time player.  Lee, Green, Bradley, Sullinger, Melo are all good trade chips.  Could some combination of those actually land a guy like Aldridge?  Love?  Gasol?

OR Dwight DUN DUN DUNN!!!!!!! lol I am not sure, but it does put us in a good spot for right now. Either we can stand pat and compete in the playoffs or looks to move some of these young guys for a superstar.

I half-jokingly proposed a hypothetical trade in the C. Lee thread last night of Bass/Lee/Sullinger for Josh Smith.

I don't even remotely think Danny has made any of his signings so far with the intent on making a later trade for a high-profile player.  We do seem to now possess the chips to make a such a deal, though most of these players can't be traded until January.

Trade deadline time might be yet another interesting one.

I tell you this.... I bet DANNY's ears stood straight up when he heard Kevin Love complain of having few great players to help him.

Not this year ...but maybe down the road. 1-2 years.

Melo , Sully, Green , Rondo and Love would be a nice young line up to replace the older fellows one day.
