It depends on what your expecatations are and what exactly you envision the duties of a PG are.

There are a ton of incredible PGs in the league right now but their games vary to several extremes.  Some are better scorers than others while some of the others might be better at setting the offense.  You have streakers and jump shooters.

Basically, it comes down to what your preference is for a PG.

Great point.  It all comes down to what function you need them to fill on your team and in your offense.

Rondo might fit better in one offense. CP3 in another. Rose in another. Parker in another. Westbrook in another.

Many flavors.  All excellent.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I'm embarrassed to say that I've been down on Rondo from time to time and even had moments of wanting him off our team once or twice but I've come to see the error of my ways and I now see the light. I'm converted. Rondo is here to stay! (hopefully).

I think Rondo came a long ways last year. And I think the best is yet to come and he's starting to enter his prime. If we can get some more speed around him and a true center, he could make everyone forget about the rest. I'm at the point where I now think Rondo is underrated and he's about to have a kick butt season. Especially with him being mentioned a lot as the problem with Ray. Last year Doc and others came out and said it's Rondo's team. I think this year he removes all doubt.

I think from here on out instead of always being thought of around the league as the 3rd or 4th best, he's going to be considered neck and neck with #1. I'm almost ready to say that Rondo is on the verge of a breakout year. From star to superstar.
