Maybe Danny shopped Ray so hard because

he knew Ray was unhappy and would be difficult to re-sign. I havent seen this considered at all.

Danny Aing is a very smart GM and if the press caught wind of problems in the locker room between Ray and Rondo then the team and GM must have known about this.

Ray was playing in the last year of his contract so rather than let him walk away without compensation Danny tried to move him at the deadline. In retrospect it sure does look like Danny made the right move because it seems Ray, by rejecting more money, was never going to re-sign with the Celtics.

The lovefest between Ray and the Heat players when Celtics were eliminated was very telling of Ray's intentions all along.

LeBron knew Ray was in otherwise he would not have put himself out there like that by tweeting that picture of Ray in Miami gear.

Ray knew he was going to Miami the trip there was just a slap in the face of the Celtics.
