San Antonio is shopping Blair?  Boston is looking to package picks and move to the late lottery?

San Antonio trades Blair to Boston.

Boston sends one pick to San Antonio.

Boston sends JJJ plus the other pick to Phoenix.

Phoenix send Telfair to San Antonio.

San Antonio sends Gary Neal to Phoenix to make the salaries match.

EDIT: Phoenix sends 13th pick to Boston.
Phoenix moves down about 10 spots, upgrades at backup pg, and gets JJJ.

Spurs move Blair and Neal out, two bench guys with small salaries, but get a pick in the low 20s. They dont have a 1st rd pick currently.

Celtics get Blair (who is way cheaper than re-signing Bass).  They give up JJJ to get him, but also move up in the late lottery.  By not needing to throw money at Bass, Boston should be able to take that money and Ray Allen's money and hopefully have enough cap room to go after a free agent.

Yes, sorry.  Boston gets the 13th pick from the Suns.

I'd do that, but I'm not sure SA or Phoenix would. And who do we take at 13? Austin? I'm still nervous about that father-son setup.

Though he is an excellent shooter, something Rondo and AB aren't.

EDIT: Plus I really want Royce White or Sullinger.

I think Danny wants to move into late lottery for a reason.  He either wants Rivers to be his 3rd guard or starting SG, or he really wants a center like Zeller.

I think Phoenix would move down in order to get JJJ and Neal, thats 3 solid parts for one a little nicer part.

Spurs could possibly get more for Blair/Neal than a pick in the low 20s.  They would be the key.  Do they want back in the first round?

I'd be hesitant to be on the receiving end of any trade with the Spurs. They tend to know what they are doing.
Celtics fan for life.

The Spurs trade 2 quality reserves for the 21? Why would they do that? They can probably just buy a pick in the mid to late 20's. They can get better value than that.

Blair for a pick would be tempting but it feels like an overpay.

OK, draft is over and I still feel like Blair would be a good move.

If Bass is part of a Mayo trade, or if Bass just does not return, there will be a need for a PF that doesnt cost too much.  Package JJJ with our 2013 pick or one of the high 2nd round picks that Danny aquired.

I prefer a Sully/Bass PF rotation over one with DeJuan Blair in it. Maybe Wilcox too.

So no real interest in acquiring DeJuan Blair. A defensive liability and lacks range on his jumper. Too limited on each end of the floor. Boston has better options in Sullinger and Bass.

I would rather keep JJJ and Sullinger.

Just Wow...No way trading off Sully till we see him in action . 3J hasn't really had a chance yet either. I want to give our three BIGS rookies a chance before dumping them.

I'd trade Bass & Dooling for Blair
