I think the Celtics have interest in both those guys but I don't see how they could get high enough up to draft one of them, without including Bradley or Rondo. If we trade either of those I'll be very upset so I hope we stay put.
We get high enough to draft Barnes and/or Ross by trading with Portland who has pick #6 and #11 and yes, it probably would need to include Rondo. I can't say how likely that would be but there seem to be signals that this is something at least being considered.
I know most are going be outraged that trading Rondo is even being considered but I actually could see it. It would all depend on who else is involved but if you start with Rondo and those two picks, I think you can make a workable trade out of it.
I could see a team next year as follows being pretty good (and with picks #6 and #11 having some young talent for the future):
Bradley
Pierce
Green
Garnett
Perk (picked up on waivers after being amnestied)
with Pietrus, Bass, Sean Williams, JJJ, Moore, Barnes, Ross, Krstic, Steisma, Hollins, etc.
The Celtics have been a good team in the past without Rondo and they could be a good team in the future without Rondo.
