If we draft Fab Melo + Moe Harkless for our picks in the draft. After that, we should KEEP Jeff Green, keep Quis as a bench warmer, sign free agent Shannon Brown to compliment Rondo's abilities. Maybe we can sign Perkins(if OKC uses ammesty, see the discussion in B/R) or Delonte West/Dooling as veterans too.

Imagine these guys stepping up as reliable players:

C  Melo/Stiemsma
PF Johnson
SF Green/Harkless
SG Bradley/Brown
PG Rondo/Moore

Oh yeah, and notice CelticNation that all this moves are extremely affordable(even if KG comes back for another year).

2012/2013 roster:
C  Perkins/Stiemsma/Melo
PF Garnett/Green/Johnson
SF Pierce/Harkless
SG Bradley/Brown
PG Rondo/(West or Dooling)/Moore

someone i am starting to like is the bobcats derrick brown, he really altheltic (7-3 wingspan) and has been productive in the league and he be turning 25 in september. I would play him at the three and move paul to the two

My plan would be

draft

jenkins + nicholson

at 50 sign the best euro guy

sign d brown for ~4 mill using cap space
sign ilyasova for 8-9 mill or g wallace using cap space
sign kg for 9-10 mil using cap space
sign greg 2-3 mill using cap space

then sign chris wilcox for 2.5 using the room exception

sign dooling, pietrus, ?hollins or another big using vet min

let bass, jeff and ray walk

i like ray but i don't think paul and ray at the 2/3 works anymore, not enough rebounding and speed in transition.

2012/2013 roster:
C  Perkins/Stiemsma/Melo
PF Garnett/Green/Johnson
SF Pierce/Harkless
SG Bradley/Brown
PG Rondo/(West or Dooling)/Moore

If Perk does get amnestied (and I think OKC will do it), I think there is a good chance he comes back here.  He will be a backup to KG at C.

That is a reasonable 2013 roster and I think everyone on this board would pencil us in for no lower than the #4 seed in the East, with a chance to challenge #2.

I disagree, KG should not move back to the PF spot at this point
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I agree with your disagreement, sir.

But to the OP, if that makes you think of a bright future man, I'm sorry. OKC loves Perk and they're not going to amnesty him. Melo is a terrible basketball player and I don't hold Harkless or Shannon Brown in particularly high regard, either.
