Has anyone heard anything about his recovery? Has there been any word as to what he might be looking to get paid? I am thinking he would want a one year deal around 5 mill, try to play brilliantly to get a massive pay day in the summer of 2013. Any thoughts?

I follow him on Twitter and he seems to be recovering fine and he's working out hard from what I've read.

What he gets paid is a mystery.  I'm sure he won't get more than a year and not too much because of the heart issue, but that being said, really have no idea what to expect.

What I am confident of though is that he comes here.  No one will be offering him enough to make him choose otherwise and he seems to really appreciate how we handled things with him.  He really seemed to appreciate us before that, how he signed the 1 year deal with us last season for a reasonable amount.

I hope we get him back because I really like what I saw with him and I hope he can step up his defense, probably the one area I found him lacking but certainly think he can improve.

Wish him a great recovery and career regardless.

Question.. After we exceed the cap this summer, are we granted the MLE to use? I know we can't if we're under, but for some reason I'm thinking the second were over we have access to the full 5+ million, assuming we're at a certain number.

If that's right, that'd be huge in signing Jeff, although I think they have to be 3 year mininum deals, right?

I believe all we get is the 2.5 million exception. If we renounce guys and resign them on smaller deals for cap space. If we just resign all our OWN free agents then we should have the MLE. That's if we are below the luxury tax line.

He is coming back right? Some guy on here said it's uncertain but I recall that he is coming back though, right?

As a starter, he's cursed with the 3/4 identity crisis. But as a 6th man he's as good as it gets.

It's more like you start out with the MLE and you lose it when your team salary (including holds and exceptions such as the MLE and trade exceptions) drops below the salary cap.

I saw this the other night it came to mind, really hope we get Green back I think the trade hit him hard more than he let on and he didn't adapt well. I can't wait till next year though hopefully hes focused and produces w/ a chip on his shoulder.

There is some Bradley to Green in here that we just might see and some crazy finishes. He can be that go to guy to get us a bucket when the offense is stagnant the guy loves contact.

off topic but does anyone know if we still retain the rights to Krstic?

I want to know this.  I also want to know if we retain some kind of bird rights for Jeff Green or if we'll need to renounce players and free up cap room in order to sign him.

Krstic's contract with CSK Moscow is a 2 year deal which means he won't come back till at least half way through 2013, or the end next season. So I think that means he's out.
No idea about Green or Wilcox though. If we waived them then I guess they're on the open market but we might have them through a technicality (being able to match any offer).

I would put on a very low ceiling on a one year deal.  I am think 3 million tops.
