I love Ray too, but it is time for him to go.  Here is his playoff Efficiency Rating for the playoffs:

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/ray_allen/  (9.25 ER).

That means that 70 other NBA players had higher ER's than Ray in this year's playoffs!!
Too bad Ray's efficiency rating was better than AB's and MP's efficiency ratings combined eh?  At least we know that Ray can perform at a high level when healthy as last year he was 15th best in the playoffs and he's averaged a 17.9 efficiency rating prior to this year in the playoffs.

If Ray goes we're going to need some one new to replace him since neither Bradley or Pietrus appear capable of being starters (unless we're in tank mode).

If he agrees for 5-6m on a one-year deal, it'd be wonderful. Remember, he was already transferred to the bench (where he actually got to shoot MORE shots and made him MORE effective) which opened up for better play between him and Bradley. Not sure why you'd like to go away from that. I want him to return.

Just to be a mentor for the next batch of Celtics' shooting guards for a year is worth the 5-6 million. Teach these young guys the ins and outs of the pro game, what to expect and stuff, all while contributing off the bench. I want him back.
