Stiemsma added to the US Select (Olmypic) team

I remember Simmons mentioning this possibility off-handedly a couple weeks ago.  Well lookee here, it has come to pass:

I'm beyond happy for the dude, but I just hope he doesn't sustain any injuries or aggravate that messed up foot.  The team is very low on big men, and Steimer does protect the rim very well.  I don't think the chances of him making the team are very high, but at least he's getting a shot, right?
