Jeffery Taylr from Vanderbilt is a great defender on the wing. I hope he'll still be on the board when the Celtics pick.

I too would not be disappointed with Taylor.

This from nbadraft.net:

"Has high-level potential on the defensive end, and his defense could be where his most value as a prospect lies … Is versatile on this end, and defended everything except C when at Vandy…Is very fundamentally sound and moves his feet very well … Has the size to defend SG’s and a lot of the bigger SF’s in time … Was arguably the best defending wing in the SEC last season, even though Kentucky’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist got most of the pub … Always contests shots … Is great at knowing when to gamble for passing lane steals and when to just play solid defense against his man … Solid passer, who is unselfish and plays within the scheme … Doesn’t play outside of his role, and seems to be an unselfish teammate …"

He has improved every year at Vandy and is a tireless worker. Sounds like a Celtic to me.

If we end up with Fab Melo and Jeff Tayllor I will be pumped.

I like your thinking. Those are my choices too, barring any big sliders.

If either wasn't there, would consider Nicholson (rising), Moultrie (projected to be a slider in some mocks)and Leonard (if he were still there).

Hope Melo is still there. Even though he is projected as late first in most mocks, I think that his workouts may help him go earlier.

Thanks.  Sounds like exactly like the kind of guy I would be looking for.  One of the things I think the Celtics need is a good three-and-D guy who can defend against multiple positions.  Ideally, it would be a guy who can guard some PFs as part of a smallball lineup.  Not sure if Taylor fits that.

I like the description "Strong finisher who has highlight-reel caliber athleticism, but is much more likely to finish with a safe, and often powerful, 2-hand jam than he is to try a fancy dunk … Runs the floor extremely well, and can beat the entire defense down the floor for easy buckets at times".

I wonder if Ainge can trade down to get him and snag a future pick along the way.

right now if im Danny I go

at 21
1. Harkless
2. Taylor
3. Q Miller
4. W Barton
5. Fournier

Then at 22
1.Leonard
2.Moultrie
3.Nicholson

after Nicholson I like K Jones and D Green but think 22 is to early for either, I also feel Fab is a stretch at 22.

would prefer trade down 22 + 51 for 30 + 35. Then go for K Jones and D Green and a big at 35 (Quinn or Sacre)
Mavs
