Great win tonight C's. Playing 5 on 6, 7 or 8 for most of the final stretch but still held out. Attack-mode Rondo with no free throws until they intentionally fouled is the best example of how crappy the refs are. Anyway...

I know we have no chance at Sullinger but I think I'm falling in love with his game. Big, old school, beast. Scouting report says he plays smart too.

Move over Dwight, because it looks like true bigs are making a comeback (Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, Derrick Favors, Valanciunas, Kanter...maybe even Meyers Leonard...hope we get him)

What do you think his ceiling is? I hope his physicality translates into the league.

Honest answer: slightly better Glen Davis
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

:(

Oh well, at least there'll be other bigs to look forward to ;) Tired of the glorified MJ clones, as much as I like watching acrobatic layups (LeBron James, Wade, Bryant, Rose...:\)

Post player who will struggle to get shots off against the length the league will throw at him.  Should be a good rebounder, though.

Absolute best case is a Zach Randolph-ish kinda player (although Randolph is longer).  More likely, I see him as a productive first big off the bench.

I think Andrew Nicholson can be a lighter but comparable version of Sullinger.

Better range, reach, and athleticism. Less rebounds and post up strength.

Just found out some drafts have us drafting Nicholson. Would love a true C though. Hope neither turn out to be BBD 2.0 (well, bad BBD 2.0 anyway. He's pretty good now).

Nicholson I'm a very big fan of.  I saw him play against UMass and he has great touch scoring from everywhere on the floor.  3, midrange near the elbows, and great little hook shots all around the paint.  Seems like a pretty good athlete.  Hit the glass hard and is also a shot blocker.

I wouldn't compare him to Sullinger.  I'm honestly not totally sure who I would.  But he has more range than Sullinger and I expect Nicholson to be a good three point shooter in the league, something that automatically makes him much different.  Sullinger is more on the boards and in the post than Nicholson will be.  As is, he's more a finesse big, but if he bulks up could be more of a banger and shot blocker.  But we need the scoring and he could definitely provide that.

I'll be interested to see how the draft pans out and who falls to us, but as far as guys I know will be there, I'm very big on Nicholson and I hope we take him.

Sullinger is going to be a solid starting 4-5 for many years and possibly make a few allstar games. Comparing him to current players I expect his offense to similar to Al Jeffersons except where Al uses his length on the block sullinger will rely on his lower body strength, On defense I expect a very similar players to BBD, like baby he will be stronger then 90% of the guys he is guarding and will be able to use this advantage to deny post position. However also like BBD his lack of length will not allow him to be a great help defender. In terms of rebounding I think he will be an excellent positional rebounder and wouldn't be surprised to see him average double digit rebounds by his second or third year in the league.

Draft Express just added their amusing best/worst case comparisons for this year's prospects.  They give Sullinger's best case as Luis Scola and worst case as Glen Davis.

Completely different player....But you're probably pretty close.

Like Davis...He's as likely to get as many minutes at center as PF.

Totally dependent on how committed to staying in shape Sullinger is.
