maybe Doc letting allen go through his normal shooting routine has helped him find his rhythm...but he's shot 50% the last 2 games and put up 13ppg/10ppg

sure he's not the ray allen of old...but I think thats all we are going to need from him if Rondo/pierce/KG can put up 20+

lets hope it continues, because that could be a big difference-maker

And points/shooting % doesn't tell the whole story. He's done a great job on the glass and getting others involved off driving to the basket.

His defense has been decent too all things considered.

I still think we need one of those 5 or 6 three pointer games to win a crucial game but we will see

I agree -- his rebounding was a big help in game 3.  made a big difference with someone helping KG on the boards.

I triple agree, Ray's rebounding has been big!

It's been this way for the past year but it seems like the Celtics are just figuring it out. Ray Allen isn't an All-Star level player anymore, most of the plays for him, and shots taken by him, would probably be more useful if they were plays/shots for Rajon Rondo. Ray Allen is a nice player for about 10 shots per game and the opportunity to take big shots in the 4th quarter.

KG and Pierce should be 1st and 2nd in FGAs followed by Rondo with between 12-16.

In this series Boston actually needs Rondo and KG to attack even more, they have CLEAR advantages over Mario Chalmers and all the guys Spoelstra is trying to throw at Garnett.

All that being said, Ray Allen has definitely been playing some nice basketball in the past 2 games.

I just don't want Doc to play him too much.  Some of the other bench guys can bring good things to the position and Ray should be used in moderation.

ya, our big 3 is Rondo/KG/Pierce...Ray allen makes a nice 4th option or 6th man IMO

Ray's been great over the last two games.  I don't want to hear any more about his ankles.  Just suck it up and play, Ray.  We need you.
