I apologize to all of you for the language and attitude. It was unnecessary.

It was in the heat of the moment and I'm better than that (I thought the blog had auto-censorship so I vented away, but even then it is inexcusable) and celticsblog users (most respectful individuals I've seen on the internet) deserve better than this.

Next time something like this happens (although I doubt I'll be surprised by the NBA anymore) I will work on channeling my emotions into something more positive.

this poor officiating can be solved quite easily by fouling the ref hard every time they make a bad call.  by accident of course - make a couple of flagrant two's upside their heads would have them worrying a little about their own health rather than Stern's agenda ... oh and by the way - didn't it seem like the NBA draft was fixed again this year?  They were even so bold as to openly talk about it on air right after the draft was done.

The best thing that could happen to this league is to get rid of Stern.  He has made this league a joke.  Especially when even an idiot can see the obvious favoritism in officiating.  Donaghy was right.

Just have to put in my 2 cents and agree. While the Tecs in game one were awful, the Celtics did not seserve to win that game anyway. They played poorly in pretty much every faze of the game.

In game 2, the refs cost them a game. No doubt in my mind. Lebron has 24 free throws? Please don't tell me he was that agressive. Funny they oviously didn't miss it when anyone was within 2 feet of him, but missed Rondo getting hit in the face when that's really the only place they could or should have been looking. I mean it's a breakaway lay up. where else could they have been looking, and while he's lying on the ground they get a fast break jam. 4 point swing, game over.

Also there was yet another bogus tech on KG in the forth quarter. The guy was mauling him and he pushed him off, than put his hands straight up in the air. Believe me, I know KG is no angel, but to call a tec on him than, in a playoff game for goodness sake, was weak to say the least.

It's trully a shame to see these guys play that hard and that many minutes, and the refs to take the game from them. Yea I know Ray could have hit that 3 or not got his lay up blocked. And Labron could have not missed that jam, and Wade could have hit more free throws. BUT, that's the game. That's the players, not the refs. The league should be ashamed if this is the best of the refs. It was terrible.

and he hasn't committed a foul until half way through the 3rd quarter of both of the c's games racking up a whopping 4 fouls in 92 mins of play for against the c's

This comes after a series in which he racked up a TOTAL OF 5 FOULS IN 6 GAMES AGAINST INDIANA AND A BORDERLINE ALL-STAR IN DANNY GRANGER.  THATS 1 FOUL EVERY 50 MINS.......

Regualr season
Jordan = 38.3 MPG, 2.6 Personal fouls per game
Lebron = 40   MPG, 1.9 Personal fouls per game

Post season
Jordan =  41.7 MPG, 3 Fouls per game
Lebron =  43.2 MPG, 2 Fouls per game


Ok are you really going to tell me that Lebron is a better defender than Jordan was ? In Jordans era it was so much more physical and yet Lebron in this watered down league where if you breathe on someone it's a foul only averages 2 fouls per game

Lebron plays more mins than Jordan in the regular and postseason and yet his fouls are significantly lower .

And this is Jordan we're talking about who got every call in the world and still got for 1 more foul per game on average than Lebron in the playoffs.

The bottom line is the league decided to market LeBron.  They protect that investment with their refs and do anything they can do to boost his production.

Come forward to the late 80's. Stern is not yet the commish but he's close. The nba is very popular. Every game I go to in Seattle is sold out. Anyone recall Bird getting completely abused with scratch marks all over his back and no calls? There was still no or very little "star" calls.

Stern became commish in 1984.

I thought the refs were too biased for us in the 1st and too biased in 4th for MIA.  2nd and 3rd qaurters were not bad.   They were not bigger than the game.
