Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett had strains in their relationship as the former became Boston's best player and the latter lost some of the specialness that made him a future Hall of Famer.

"There were times when they really clashed," Celtics coach Doc Rivers told Yahoo! Sports on Friday night. "But the difference now? They clash and recover. They have an amazing friendship now. But it took time. It took time, and it took trust."

I think things like this get overblown when a writer is looking for a story. KG has never had a problem sharing the spotlight with anyone. Even back in his days with Minny when he would willingly play 2nd fiddle on the offense end to guys like Sprewell.

Yeah, I have no doubt that they've clashed.  There have been plenty of reports over the years of Rondo, KG, and even Ray clashing with teammates.  That's because all the stars have strong personalities, not because they're having trouble coping with sharing the spotlight.

You summed it up perfectly. In the article Woj is suggesting that it is somewhat of a spotlight issue.
